Tripura prepares for 'GlobalĀ Pineapple Festival' to be heldĀ in New Delhi from June 27
The Tripura Government has intensified preparations for the Tripura Global Pineapple Festival 2026, which is scheduled to be held from June 27 to 29 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi.Ā
A review meeting regarding the arrangements for the festival was held on Wednesday at Conference Hall of the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Ratan Lal Nath, the Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare.Ā
The meeting was attended by Ministers- Sushanta Chowdhury, Santana Chakma, Bikash Debbarma and Animesh Debbarma, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Chief Secretary J. K. Sinha, secretaries of various departments, and senior officials of the Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department.Ā
During the meeting, officials informed that the three-day festival will commence on June 27 and will remain open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.Ā Ā
The event will showcase Tripura's renowned pineapple industry, honour pineapple growers from the state, promote tourism opportunities, and highlight Tripura's rich cultural heritage through a series of cultural performances and exhibitions.Ā
As part of the festival, around 25 stalls representing different state government departments will be set up to display Tripura's agricultural products, tourism potential, handicrafts, and development initiatives.Ā
The review meeting also discussed various logistical and organizational aspects to ensure the successful conduct of the festival in the national capital.
